Why year-round matters

All 35 indoor pools operate all year, including winter, unlike open-air pools that close for 7-8 months. The water is heated and the facility has filtration and ventilation systems. If your goal isn't a one-off summer visit but regular swim training, an indoor pool is often the only real option in winter.

Which regions to look in

Most indoor pools are in Tashkent (11) and Karakalpakstan (7), where Nukus and Kungrad have year-round municipal complexes. Next come Samarkand (5), Khorezm (4), Bukhara and Kashkadarya (3 each) and Navoi (2).
