Karakalpakstan ranks second in the country for indoor pools: seven venues, all year-round. The format here is nothing like the capital's. These are municipal and sport pools: not one of the seven has a sauna, spa area or hammam.
Nukus, Kungrad and beyond
Three pools are in Nukus: the Karakalpakstan Water Sports School on Amir Timur street, Amudarya and Aral. Two are in Kungrad — Kungrad and Navoi. One more each in Beruni and the town of Karauzyak. Parking is marked at all seven venues, and the region's largest pool is Suv Havzasi Beruni, with a 50-meter pool and a gym.
Prices
Pricing is filled in for only two of the seven venues. Kungrad charges 50,000 UZS for an adult and 30,000 for a child — the cheapest indoor pool entry in the catalog. Suv Havzasi Beruni works on monthly programs: therapeutic swimming 1,500,000 UZS a month, an adult group 2,000,000, a children's group aged 7–14 1,000,000, and individual lessons 400,000–500,000 UZS depending on age.
