Not just Nukus

The geography is wider than in other regions: Nukus (6), Kungrad (2), Beruni (1), Khojeyli (1), Nukus District (1), Karauzyak (1). That spread means that in the smaller towns and settlements of Karakalpakstan the pool is often the only one for the whole place — it is worth checking opening hours and days off in advance, because there may be no alternative nearby.

What it costs

Sport schools work differently: you pay for a month of group sessions rather than for entry, so that figure is not directly comparable with a single visit.

Summer and year-round

5 of the 12 venues are seasonal, operating through the hot months when an open-air pool matters most in a continental climate. The other 7 are open all year: the indoor pools of Nukus and the sport complexes.
